Rick Worker
About Me
Rick Worker is a fourth-generation Navajo silversmith from Tuba City, Arizona, carrying forward a family legacy rooted in generations of master craftsmanship. Taught by his father, Rick honors time-honored Navajo silversmithing traditions while pushing the boundaries of contemporary design.
He is best known for his work in tufa casting—an ancient technique that involves hand-carving volcanic stone molds—through which he has developed a bold, modern aesthetic uniquely his own. Rick works primarily with top-grade turquoise, including rare and highly sought-after varieties such as Kingman, Sonoran Mountain, Golden Hills, and White Buffalo. He also incorporates vibrant spiny oyster shell and other distinctive materials, resulting in truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
Each piece reflects a deep respect for Navajo heritage while embracing innovation, making Rick Worker’s jewelry highly collectible and deeply valued by those who appreciate authenticity, cultural legacy, and exceptional craftsmanship.
